May 14- Since we only received one entry for the Club Id contest, I'm going to extend the deadline to May 31st (for now).

The avatar contest received no new entries, so I will also extend this deadline to May 31st.

The Monthly Feature deadline has long passed, so is our winner!!! [link] I will take it upon myself to create a new theme. So!
This month's theme is battle!

<sub>Apr 14- Since no one else seems to be participating Im cancelling the number game. In its place I want to start a few others.

1. Club Id contest. This will be shown under the Devious Information and should have 'Houshin Engi Club' somewhere on it. Please do an original for this, I dont want to see the reuse of posted art. Contest shall end May 14th unless there is need to move it up. There is no limit to entry's you can make!

2. New avatar contest. Since NO ONE voted for the last one avatar Im starting a new one. The entries from the last contest are being included to be fair to the wonderful folks who acually participated. There is no limit to entries and the contest will end on May 14th. Send note as 'Id contest'

3. Monthly featured art. I'm going to propose a theme for each month for you to draw HE related art too. The winner of each month with be the featured art for the next month. All the submitions will then be submitted as a collage in the regular gallery. This months contest ends Apr 30th!! Send note labeled 'Monthly contest'

This months contest theme is Rain! Good luck everyone!

Apr 30-In order to get some sort of participation out of this club, Samurainataku has offered up a chance to win some free HE art. Its a little game which any of out 83 members can participate in. The rules are thus: I have a list of numbers from 1 to 30 that have been pre sorted into prizes. All you have to do is send the club a note marked 'contest' with your choice number. Mind that its first come first serve and if someone notes me your number first they get it. Ill then send you a note and let you pick again. You can play once each round. Whats the point of this you ask? Well, one of those numbers is a free commission from samurainataku of your choice HE character. The other 28 you win nothing, yes, I said 28. There is a catch you see, one of the numbers means you have to do a commission of the character attached to it. I have a list of characters that we'll loop through. If you dont complete the commission you wont be able to participate in another game untill you do. Its worth it though, eh? No time limit on this one! As soon as someone picks the winner Ill start again, even if it was the first number picked! So good luck everybody!

In other news, Houshin Engi, the manga, has been licensed by Viz quite a while ago. Do support the Houshin Engi fandom when it comes out on shelves in English on June 7, 2oo7!! Mark your calandars~ we need to prepare a celebration!

Mar 9- Well, since nothing seems to be going on in the club, Im offering up a contest different than any we've had. Its a member drive, but you can win as many prizes as your willing to work for! Here's how it works: you get someone to join and they MUST MENTION YOU IN THERE NOTE for it to count as a point. Every 5 members, you get a free commission from me (samurainataku) or Pompi. We'll start with Houshin Engi based commissions, and if it gets popular Ill expand to original characters and fanart. Im willing to do as many as it takes so theres no dead line for now. I also think there will be a special prize for the member with the most points at the end of each month, so get to work!
